Whether you are a total beginner or a professional artist, workshops at Artisan Depot are a great way to learn a new skill or gain inspiration. Pre-registration is required; your payment is your reservation. All workshops listed take place at the Artisan Depot in Cowan, TN unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
Cancellation must occur 24 hours before the workshop in order to receive a full or partial (at the discretion of the instructor) refund; materials fees are not refundable.

A one-day workshop designed as a follow-up to the Watercolor Bootcamp, for people with some beginning watercolor painting experience. Improve your skills and develop your techniques in glazing, creating texture, mixing colors, preserving whites, etc. We will paint a variety of spring season images, including fields, flowers, and barns. Participants should bring lunch and a drink, and wear painting clothes.
Pre-registration is required, and class size is limited to give the best experience to participants. If you need to purchase materials, you bring a materials fee to class for either a) $15 for paper, paints and brush or b) $10 for one sheet of paper and paints for the day. Palette Knife Peonies

Beginners will learn the technique of palette knife painting with acrylics, and experienced painters will practic their skills in this fun class. Participants should wear painting clothes or bring an apron. There will be a painted sample, and the instructor will lead participants through the workshop step-by-step. Finish with a completed painting, ready to hang.

Love the sound of chimes in a gentle wind? Come join us in celebrating spring and make your own wind-chimes using porcelain clay and simple tools. Participants will create up to two sets of chimes, one to keep and one to share. Class is geared towards beginners but all levels are welcome. Wear old clothing, bring a sack lunch and be prepared to have fun!

Show your garden some love with small mosaics. Choose to create an angel or a heart--or both, if time allows. All materials will be provided except the rock; bring one or two rocks no larger than 6" x 6" with a smooth surface, flat or slightly rounded. We'll provide beads, grout, glass, and other bling; if you'd like to share your stash, please bring it along.
