Local artist Pat Rollie will lead a painting workshop at the Artisan Depot on Sunday, September 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. In this class, participants will learn to paint simple designs with a palette knife on canvas or board. The finished piece will be a 12" x 16" masterpiece. This workshop is an adult class but children age 15 and over are welcome. It is geared for beginners, but experienced painters will enjoy it as well. The class fee is $45; please register online by clicking here. There is an additional $5 materials fee payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class. Seating is limited to 8 people; early registration is recommended. Pat Rollie is well known for her creativity in several mediums. She is an award-winning international quilt artist, combining traditional methods with watercolor skills. Her watercolor workshops are popular. Pat brings her passion for art, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to teach to all her classes. Her goal is for each student to leave the class feeling brave, moving a step closer to becoming a more accomplished and confident artist. Pat lives in Tullahoma and is a member of the Tullahoma Art Center and Tennessee Craft. The Artisan Depot is the gallery of the Franklin County Arts Guild and is located at 204 Cumberland Street East in Cowan, Tennessee. It is open each week from noon to 5:00 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays.
